Shea Degan
Partner
Shea Degan, a native of Omaha, Nebraska, is a seasoned professional with a diverse background. He graduated from Creighton Prep High School and pursued a degree in Criminal Justice at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Serving in the United States Coast Guard Reserves from 1987 to 1991, Shea laid the foundation for his commitment to service.
Beginning his career in law enforcement, Shea became a Deputy Sheriff with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. He served as a road patrol deputy and later as a K9 handler in the Narcotics Criminal Interdiction Unit. With over twenty years of experience in law enforcement, Shea’s journey has been marked by dedication and excellence, paving the way for a successful business career.
Beyond his law enforcement endeavors, Shea has dedicated over two decades to training and instructing in Mixed Martial Arts and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He currently holds a position on his local Police Department, contributing his expertise to the community. Additionally, Shea is certified as an instructor in S.P.E.A.R., Vehicle CQB, and High Threat CQB, showcasing his commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
Trevor Thrasher
Partner
Trevor Thrasher, born into a military family while his father served as a Vietnam fighter pilot stationed in Bitburg, Germany, spent his formative years in Bellevue, Nebraska. There, he completed his high school and college education before embarking on an extensive career in Law Enforcement and Military service. As a combat veteran and U.S. Army Green Beret, Trevor brings a wealth of unique and diverse special operations experience to the table. His background includes roles in law enforcement SWAT, high-risk protective assignments in non-permissive environments, and counter-terrorism direct action missions.
Trevor holds numerous instructor-level certifications in firearms, hand-to-hand combat, and special tactics. He has played a pivotal role in developing proprietary tactical curriculum for various units and agencies. Notably, he is the mind behind the groundbreaking curriculum known as High Threat Systems and Reality Behavior-Based Conditioning©.
While maintaining his operational experience as a part-time police officer, Trevor serves as the Operations Sergeant with the 19th Special Forces Group in the Colorado National Guard. He also contributes his expertise as a contract security specialist for organizations locally and overseas.
Aaron Guzman
Director of Training
Aaron Guzman, a retired law enforcement professional with an 18-year dedication to service in Minnesota, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise across various facets of law enforcement. His extensive career is marked by notable achievements and roles. Possessing instructor ratings in Firearms, Combatives, Close Quarters Battle (CQB), Active Killer Response, Safariland Less Lethal/Chemical, and Field Training Officer, Aaron served as the range master for his agency, showcasing his commitment to training and skill development.
For twelve years, Aaron served in a multi-jurisdictional S.W.A.T. team as the Assistant Commander, where he played a crucial role in coordinating operations and ensuring the team’s effectiveness. His specialized skills included breaching, high-threat close quarters combat (CQC), less lethal/chemical/distraction device operations, and he also took on responsibilities as a training coordinator and team leader.
In his role as Directory of Training, he oversees the growth of all training programs and contributes to the expansion of Grey Group’s training curriculum to new locations across the United States. Aaron’s comprehensive experience, coupled with his leadership and administrative skills, makes him an invaluable asset to the organization.
